The best thing about MEg TV? Our humans (or as we like to call them, our Mishpookah).
Nancy Saslow and Carolyn Carmines run the place. They met at an Internet startup, (who didn't?) and launched a digital company called Pushybroad
(We put the "broad" in "broadband"). From there, they created MEg TV.
Get to know us … better.
Nancy Saslow, President & Executive Producer
Nancy leads development and production for MEg, and yes, that is her real kinfolk on the welcome page. Oh sure she’s animated and exploited that family, making them dance to Klezmer music. Nancy is an award-winning producer, director, and writer. She’s got multiple Peabodys and Emmys. But that’s no excuse. She loves all things Philly (her hometown) and SF (her adopted hometown), dogs (especially her own) and making great stuff with amazing humans. Which is what MEg TV is all about. She holds an astounding bit of meaningless trivia, and has frightening range when it comes to old TV theme songs, commercial jingles and show tunes.
Carolyn Carmines, President & Creative Director
Carolyn is a true daughter of the south, which you’ll know and appreciate from the first fully authentic “y’all.” She presides over our creative design for every project; from title creation to motion design to integrating all graphic elements that are part of our series and docs. Carolyn brings to the table diverse experience and background from theater, music, film, television and location-based entertainment. She grew up a NASA kid, knew astronauts and went to school with their kids. Cool, right?
Bill Corona, Director of Photography
Emmy Award winner Billy shoots and lights everything we do. From interviews to drone aerials, go-go handheld to beautifully shot exteriors, Bill compliments and elevates our storytelling with his exceptional visual sense. He and Nancy Saslow are the Steve and Eydie of unscripted television, having taken their act on the road since the 80’s, when cameras had tubes. Their medley of show tunes is always a crowd pleaser; whether freezing on Red Square, waiting at the White House, in the Quarterback Suite at Lambeau Field or the red carpet in Atlanta and New York.
Jeremy Powers, Senior Producer
Jeremy is an Emmy Award-winning Producer who joined the MEgTV team in 2020. He’s got tremendous range; from true crime series to civil rights docs to the Spelling Bee! Prior to his arrival at MEg, Jeremy trafficked in unscripted work for the likes of HGTV, Discovery Science, Nat Geo Wild, and Animal Planet. He remains our resident guitar hero, fronting Bay Area bands while staying DEAD-icated
to that thrilling band of yesteryear. For which we forgive him.
Matheus de Castro, Postproduction Supervisor
Matheus de Castro (not his real name) is our Brazilian international man of mystery. He is passionate about storytelling and film. After graduating from film school he worked as an assistant editor for documentaries, reality TV, and docu-reality TV shows for major networks and production companies in Brazil. In 2015, Matheus moved to San Francisco and broadened his experience by working as an associate producer, and managing post-production on shows for Animal Planet, Discovery Channel, Vice Media, Court TV, and others. He joined MEG TV in 2020, still able to balance his mission critical work with an endless passion for the Brazilian Flamengo football team. Just don’t ask him to choose.
Nancy Main, Lead Editor
Nancy, or N2 as she’s known around here, usually has her four-legged assistant editor Josie by her side. They’re a package deal. Nancy’s cut just about everything docs and series for just about everybody; true crime to animal shows to ghost tales, history and travel for Discovery, HGTV, PBS, Court TV, Animal Planet, A&E…all the usual suspects. When she’s not editing, (rare as that may be), she’s happiest hanging with her family, binging true crime shows, reading, or playing tennis having now retired from the tour. One of those things isn’t true. (Yeah, we’ve never actually seen her with a book.)
Lisa Hampshire, Research, Booking, Development Producer
She’s got armfuls of awards, including a Dupont, an AP and a Murrow. Lisa’s been working with MEg TV for almost 20 years in almost every capacity; in the field, as part of the booking team, and in the development group. She’s front and center for our live events – there’s just no National Spelling Bee without Lisa aboard. And when it comes to booking interviews for our series and docs, well, you can run but you cannot hide from Lisa Hampshire. Plus, if you need to take children to Disney World, Lisa has it totally wired!!!
Meghan Driscoll, Research, Booking, & Development Producer
Meghan is a seasoned producer, earning her stripes the last 15 years dodging hazardous science as a production assistant at Mythbusters, chasing viral animal experiences as a field producer for several Nat Geo shows and even a stint at Pixar. Her not-so-secret weapon is research, and she prides herself on finding the unfindable. She’ll talk you to death about The Beatles and when she’s not working she’s probably painting. She’s the daughter we never had.
Mark Haslam, Research & Associate Producer, Production & Development
Mark Haslam is a writer living in Los Angeles with his faithful companion Leonard. For many years, he worked as an educator, teaching students from elementary school to college, before coming to the dark side to unearth gripping stories and deep dark secrets. He has an MFA from Vanderbilt, which he has definitely not misplaced. He subsists primarily on tinned fish and Simpsons quotes.
Jordan Kenison, Production Assistant, 2nd Camera, Research Associate Producer
Jordan takes home Rookie of the Year honors for sure. Fresh out of Seattle U and a stint at Trader Joe’s, he was plucked straight out of the frozen food aisle to join MEg TV. He’s become an invaluable jack of almost all trades; from production assistant to team chauffeur to second camera to researcher on the production and development teams. A Bay Area native, Jordan suffers a pathological devotion to Pittsburgh sports teams and Japanese anime. You gotta love the loyalty!
Monica Caston, Producer
She's toured with Mick and Keith, Bono, Prince, and Michael, to name a few. But Monica is as humble as they come (Ohio native), so those are names she would never drop (although we will!). Monica Caston's career in music, film and television features more than 30 years of experience in the global entertainment industry. Her extensive work ranges from high profile world tours to concert and TV specials, live multi-format event production, and docu-series and documentaries. She's been a "go-to" producer and production "wrangler" for years. If you suddenly discover the need for a ferret in the field, she'll have two of them, with trainers and a trailer nailed down in 15 minutes. So…that happened.
Lindsay Kelliher, Archival Producer
Lindsay has dipped her toe into every part of the production world, earning herself 2 shiny Emmy Awards along the way. As a Research, Archive, and Rights & Clearances specialist, she’ll get you that impossible clip and make sure all your t’s are crossed and i’s dotted along the way (for which we and our lawyers are ever so grateful). If it’s out there, Lindsay will find it. After spending over 20 years in California, she returned home to the east coast with her feline sidekick to soak up the NYC life. When not on the hunt for the perfect pic, you’ll likely find her at the theater or on the pickleball courts. Not usually at the same time.
